Ingredients

1 cup Roasted chana

approximately 5 tsp (2 tsp + 1 tsp + 2 tsp) Ghee

1 cup Makhana (Fox nuts)

1/4 cup Almonds

1/4 cup Cashews

1/5 cup Pistachios

1/4 cup Pumpkin seeds

1/4 cup Sunflower seeds

2 tbsp White sesame seeds

1/4 cup Dry coconut

a little less than 1/2 cup (adjust to taste) Jaggery

3 tbsp Water

Elaichi (Cardamom) powder: (optional, to taste)

These Sattu Makhana Laddoos are the perfect offering for the festival. Packed with protein and calcium, they’re a guilt-free and delicious way to celebrate! ✨

In a mixer jar, take 1 cup roasted chana and make fine powder. Keep it aside. |

In a kadhai, take 2 tsp Ghee, and roast 1 cup Makhana till it becomes crispy, take it out in a bowl. Let it cool down. |

Now in the kadhai, take 1 tsp Ghee and add some dry fruits and seeds. I Have taken 1/4 cup almond, 1/4 cup cashew, 1/5 cup pista, 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds and 1/4 cup sunflower seeds. |

Roast everything till you get nice nutty smell. |

Take it out in a bowl with Makhana. Let it cool down. Then coarsely grind it in a mixer Jar. |

Now in the same kadhai, add 2 tsp Ghee and roast prepared sattu powder along with 2 tbs white sesame seeds and 1/4 cup dry coconut. |

Roast it till Sattu Powder turns pink in color and you get nice aroma. |

Mix this roasted sattu powder with nuts and seeds mixture. |

Now in a kadhai, take little less than half cup jaggery (you can adjust quantity as per your taste). |

And add 3 tbs water. Cook till you get 1 string (1 taar) chasni. |

Pour it over the sattu nuts mixture. You can add some elaichi powder too. |

Mix everything while mixture is hot. |

Once you are able to handle the warm mixture, make laddoos. |
