1/2 kg Turai(thin sized Ridge Gourd)

1 tbs White sesame seedsmildy roasted

1 tsp Grated Dry coconut

2 Garlic cloves

1 Green chilli

1 tsp Turmeric powder

2 tsp Red chilli powder

2 tsp Coriander - cumin seeds powderdhaniya - jeera powder

1 tsp Garam masala(alternatively Kitchen King Masala can be used)

1 tsp Oil

1 tsp Fennel seeds

1 tsp Cumin seeds

pinch Asafoetida powder (hing)

Take Turai, remove its skin and cut it into big pieces. |

Make a cut in the middle of each pieces |

Further to prepare masala stuffing,take mildly roasted 1 tbs Safed Til and 2 tbs Peanuts in a mixer jar. |

Add 1 tbs grated dry Coconut. |

Add 2 Garlic Cloves & 1 Green Chilli. |

Add 1 tsp Turmeric Powder. |

Add Salt to taste and coarsely churn the mixture. |

Fill this stuffing in all pieces (keep remaining stuffing aside). |

Heat 1 tsb Oil in a pan. |

Place stuffed Turai in the pan and sprinkle some water on it. |

Cover the lid and cook it on slow to medium heat. |
