Raw mango chundo, also known simply as “chundo,” is a popular Indian condiment made from raw, grated mangoes that are sweetened, spiced, and preserved. It has a sweet and tangy flavor and is commonly used as a side dish or accompaniment to various Indian meals.

In a mixing bowl, combine 500 gm shredded raw mango, 600 gm sugar, and 1 tsp salt. Mix well and leave for 15 minutes until the sugar melts. |

Heat a pan, pour the mango and sugar mixture, and cook it on medium heat for approximately 25 minutes. |

Continue cooking until the sugar syrup thickens and reaches one-string consistency. |

Once cooled, add 2 tsp red chili powder and 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera). Mix everything well. |

Store it in an airtight container and enjoy Keri No Chundo for up to 1 year. |
