These Pecan Chocolate bars are a healthy, no-bake treat made without refined sugar or maida (white flour). They combine the richness of pecans with natural sweeteners like dates or honey, and cocoa for a chocolatey indulgence. The bars are simple to make, requiring just a few ingredients like nuts, cocoa, and coconut oil. They are a great source of healthy fats and fiber. Perfect for a guilt-free snack or dessert option!

Steps

1
Done

Dry roast 1/2 cup of pecans lightly in a pan and then coarsely chop them. Set aside.

2
Done

In a mixer, blend 1 cup of soft dates into a smooth, sticky paste. This will serve as your natural sweetener.

3
Done

In a mixing bowl, combine the date paste with 2 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder (adjust to taste) and 1/4 cup of creamy peanut butter. Stir well.

4
Done

Stir in half of the chopped pecans. If you're feeling adventurous, add some chopped dried orange peel for an extra zing!

5
Done

Mix everything until well combined, then transfer the mixture into a lined tin. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.

6
Done

Meanwhile, melt 100g of dark chocolate and mix with 200g of fresh cream to create a smooth, rich chocolate sauce. Stir in the remaining chopped pecans.

7
Done

Pour the pecan-chocolate sauce over the chilled base and return to the fridge for another 30 minutes. Once set, slice the bars and enjoy!
