2 Raw sweetcorn

1/2 cup shredded carrot

2-3 tbs finely chopped French Beans

2-3 tbs finely chopped Capsicum

1 finely chopped 1 Big Onion

A few finely chopped cloves of garlic

Fresh coriander, finely chopped

1/4 cup Cooked rice (or rice flour)

3/4 cup Sooji (semolina)

1/2 cup Besan (gram flour)

1/2 cup Sour curd

3-4 tbs Water (add gradually)

1 small packet of fruit salt (Eno)

1/2 tsp Haldi powder (turmeric)Spices and Seasonings:

2 tsp Kashmiri Red Mirchi powder (red chili powder)

2 tsp Coriander powder

1 tsp Kitchen King Masala

Salt, to taste

1/2 tsp Hing (asafoetida)

Take 2 raw sweetcorn, remove kernels. |

Take 1/2 of the kernels and crush them coarsely. Leave the remaining half kernels as whole. |

Now in a bowl take both crushed and whole sweetcorn. |

Into that add, 1/4 cup shredded carrot, 2-3 tbs finely chopped French Beans, 2-3 tbs capsicum finely chopped, 1 big onion finely chopped, a few finely chopped cloves of garlic, fresh coriander finely chopped. |

Mix everything. |

For masala, add 1/2 tsp Haldi powder, 2 tsp Kashmiri Red Mirchi Powder, 2 tsp Coriander Powder, and 1 tsp Kitchen King Masala, and Salt as per taste. |

Then add 1/2 tsp Hing(Asafoetida). |

For binding, take 1/4 cup cooked rice (You can take rice flour as well,), 3/4 cup sooji (semolina) and 1/2 cup Besan. |

Mix everything well and then add 1/2 cup sour curd and 3 to 4 tbs water. (Add water gradually, if required add more but be careful as veggies will also ooze out water). |

Mix everything well and just before the cooking add 1 small packet of fruit salt (eno). |

At the same time heat up the appe pan on medium flame. |

Take oil in each cavity, a few mustard seeds and some sesame seeds. |

Once they crackle, add the handvo batter. Cook Handvo on slow to medium flame till you get nice golden color on each side. |
