About
I absolutely love baking healthy treats that are easy to make, and this Kesar Badam Appe Cake is my current favourite! I’ve skipped the maida and refined sugar completely, making it a guilt-free joy for everyone. Made right on the stovetop in an appe pan, it’s soft, spongy, and packed with the goodness of wheat, jaggery, saffron, and almonds. You have to try this one!

8
Done

Fill each cavity with the prepared batter and sprinkle some more chopped almonds on top. |

Place a heavy, flat tawa below the appe pan so that gentle heat cooks the cake evenly without burning the bottom. |

Zero-Waste & Substitutes * Zero-Waste: Always look at leftovers with love! If you have leftover appe, crumble them the next day, mix with a little warm milk, and serve as a quick, sweet breakfast porridge. Don't throw away almond skins if you decide to peel them; toss them into your morning smoothie for extra fibre. * Substitutes: Because this is a baking recipe, I highly recommend avoiding any ingredient substitutions. Stick to the exact measurements listed above to ensure the perfect rise and spongy texture! |
