1/2 Cup Wheat Flour (Gehu ka Atta)
1/2 Cup coarse Wheat Flour
3 Tbsp warm Ghee + more Ghee
Milk (as required)
3/4 Cup Jaggery
3-4 Cardamom Powder (Elaichi)

Churma Modak is a traditional Indian sweet prepared during festivals, especially Ganesh Chaturthi. It is made by shaping a mixture of coarsely ground wheat flour, jaggery, and ghee into modak-shaped dumplings. The mixture is flavored with cardamom powder and sometimes includes chopped nuts or coconut. Churma Modak is offered as a special prasad (offering) to Lord Ganesha and is enjoyed as a delightful treat by devotees and celebrants alike.

In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup Wheat Flour and 1/2 cup coarse Wheat Flour.

Add 3 tablespoons of warm Ghee and mix well using hands.

Gradually add a little Milk to the mixture until it reaches a dough-like consistency. Form small balls from the dough.

Heat Ghee in a deep base pan. Fry the flour balls in the hot Ghee until they turn golden brown.

Transfer the fried balls onto a plate and break them into pieces.

Grind the fried flour pieces in a mixer to form a coarse powder.

Heat 2-3 spoons of Ghee in a pan. Add 3/4 cup Jaggery to the melted Ghee and let it melt completely.

Once the Jaggery is melted, add the churned churma flour to the pan. Roast the mixture well and add 3-4 Cardamom Powder. Mix thoroughly.

Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Use a modak mould to shape the mixture into modaks.
