In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil.

On low to medium flame, fry 5-6 garlic cloves and 3-4 dried red chillies until golden.

Once garlic gets golden in color and chillies get properly fried, remove them from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, sauté 1 thinly sliced medium onion on a slow to medium flame.

Next, add in 6 medium-sized tomatoes, cut in half. If needed, sprinkle a little water. Cover and let them cook till soft!

Remove the skins and let the mixture cool slightly.

Now, mash it all together with your hands—trust me, it’s so satisfying!

For some extra crunch, add roasted and coarsely pounded peanuts (completely optional, but highly recommended!).

Finally, toss in a generous handful of fresh coriander and salt to taste. Mix well and serve hot with steaming rice!
