Mysore Pak is a traditional South Indian sweet dish that originated in the city of Mysore in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is a popular and iconic sweet treat known for its unique texture and rich flavor.

The ghee and besan in Mysore Pak provide a significant amount of energy. It can be a quick source of energy when needed.

Steps

1
Done

Heat up a sauce pan.
Add ghee and oil and heat it.
Let the ghee melt on a low flame or sim.
The ghee has to be hot when we add it in the besan mixture.
So let it be on a slow simmer.

2
Done

In another pan, add sugar and water.
Mix it and stir so that the sugar dissolves.
Add besan and mix it and cook for 7,8 minutes on low to medium flame.

3
Done

Add hot ghee in besan mixture in batches.
Then continue this process till when you see many small bubbles and holes in the mixture.
Then switch off the flame.
When you reach this stage, you have to be attentive as a few seconds here or there and it will spoil the texture of the mysore pak.
