1/4 cup Fresh Hara Chana (Green Chickpeas)

2 tbs Oil

1 or 1/2 tbs Jeera (Cumin Seeds)

a pinch Hing (Asafoetida)

to taste Salt

1/2 cup Water(1/4 cup for paste + some more for cooking)

Lime Juice(For serving)

Fresh Coriander(For paste and for sprinkling while serving)

1/4 cup Fresh Coconut

3-4 cloves Garlic Cloves

a few Green Chillies

a small pieces Ginger

Take 350 gm fresh hara chana. |

In a mixer jar, Take 1/4 cup fresh coconut, 3-4 cloves of garli, few green chillies, a small piece of ginger, a bunch of fresh coriander & 1/4 cup of fresh chana (out of the total 350 gm) |

Grind them and make a paste. |

In a kadai, add 2 tbs of oil, jeera (cumin seeds) & hing (asafoetida). |

Now add, the paste we just made. |

Saute well. |

Now add salt & 1/4 cup of water so the paste will not stick at the bottom. |

Now add fresh green chana. |

Add some more water. |

Cover it and let it cook till it’s done. |

Fresh chana will cook in 7-8 minutes on a medium flame. |

If you like mushy texture, then let it cook till 10 minutes. |

While serving, squeeze lime juice and sprinkle some fresh coriander. |
