Ingredients

1/4 cup Fresh Hara Chana (Green Chickpeas)
2 tbs Oil
1 or 1/2 tbs Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
a pinch Hing (Asafoetida)
to taste Salt
1/2 cup Water (1/4 cup for paste + some more for cooking)
Lime Juice (For serving)
Fresh Coriander (For paste and for sprinkling while serving)
1/4 cup Fresh Coconut
3-4 cloves Garlic Cloves
a few Green Chillies
a small pieces Ginger

Take 350 gm fresh hara chana.

In a mixer jar, Take 1/4 cup fresh coconut, 3-4 cloves of garli, few green chillies, a small piece of ginger, a bunch of fresh coriander & 1/4 cup of fresh chana (out of the total 350 gm)

Grind them and make a paste.

In a kadai, add 2 tbs of oil, jeera (cumin seeds) & hing (asafoetida).

Now add, the paste we just made.

Saute well.

Now add salt & 1/4 cup of water so the paste will not stick at the bottom.

Now add fresh green chana.

Add some more water.

Cover it and let it cook till it’s done.

Fresh chana will cook in 7-8 minutes on a medium flame.

If you like mushy texture, then let it cook till 10 minutes.

While serving, squeeze lime juice and sprinkle some fresh coriander.
