Amla and raw turmeric thecha is an ancient and flavorful dish that is beneficial for both taste and health. It is made using amla, raw turmeric, and spices, which help boost immunity. Amla is rich in vitamin C, aiding in detoxifying the body, while raw turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties. Consuming this thecha helps with digestion and adds a fragrant flavor. It can be enjoyed as a chutney or paired with dal and other dishes.

Start with 150 gm amla, cut into small pieces and de-seeded. Grab 50 gm fresh turmeric, peel it, and chop it into small pieces. |

In a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil, add 1 tsp jeera and 1/2 tsp hing. Once the jeera crackles, add 3-4 cloves of chopped garlic, amla, and turmeric. |

Sprinkle with salt, cover, and sauté on a slow to medium flame until the amla softens. Add a little water if needed. |

Once softened, mix in fresh green chilies to taste and 1/2 cup peanuts. Cook for another 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. |

Turn off the heat, add fresh coriander, and mix everything well. Once cooled, coarsely pound or grind the mixture slightly in a mixer. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lime juice and enjoy! |
