Steps
1
Done
|
Heat a pan over medium heat. |
2
Done
|
Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the heated pan. |
3
Done
|
Add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds (jeera) to the hot oil. |
4
Done
|
Allow the cumin seeds to sizzle. |
5
Done
|
Add 1/2 teaspoon of chopped ginger and 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic to the pan. |
6
Done
|
Also, add 2-3 finely chopped green chilies. |
7
Done
|
Mix these ingredients in the pan and sauté for a minute or two until they become fragrant. |
8
Done
|
Add 1/2 cup of besan (gram flour) to the pan. |
9
Done
|
Roast the besan for 6-7 minutes over low to medium flame until it turns a light golden color and gives off a nice aroma. Stir continuously to prevent burning. |
10
Done

Once the besan is roasted, add the chopped methi (fenugreek) leaves to the pan. |
11
Done
|
Mix the methi leaves well with the roasted besan. |
12
Done
|
Add coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. |
13
Done
|
Mix the spices into the besan and methi leaves. |
14

|
Sprinkle a small amount of water into the pan to create a slightly thick, saucy consistency. Be careful not to add too much water; you can add more if needed later. |
15
Done
|
Cook the mixture for 4-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the methi leaves to wilt. Keep stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. |
