Dice cherries and combine with jaggery powder into a heated pan. |

Turn the heat off and add the juice of a half cut lime. |

To prepare the skone , in a bowl combine all purpose flour , baking powder , pinch of salt , castor sugar , chilled butter and mix to form a sand like texture. |

Further add milk and vanilla essence and mix well to form a dough. |

Cut thick circles out of the soft dough with the help of a mould , brush milk over the skone and bake at 200degree for 15mins. |

Once baked , slice the skone from the centre , layer cream cheese and the cherry jam and paste the top layer of the scone back and enjoy. |
