Gujarati Dal Dhokli is a comforting one-pot meal popular in Gujarat, India. It consists of wheat flour dumplings (dhokli) cooked in a sweet, tangy, and mildly spiced lentil-based dal made from toor dal. The dal is typically flavored with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and jaggery for a touch of sweetness, along with a hint of tamarind for tanginess. It’s often garnished with fresh cilantro and served hot, making it a wholesome, hearty, and flavorful dish enjoyed by many as a complete meal in itself.
