Ingredients

3 tsp Oil
1 tsp Jeera
2-3 Garlic cloves
1.5 tsp Chana dal
3-4 Dry red chillies
6-7 Black peppercorns
1.5 tsp Tamarind pulp
200 gm Chopped pumpkin
few Curry leaves
Salt
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1.5 tsp Urad dal
1/2 tsp Asafoetida (hing)
1/2 cup Semolina
1.5 cups Jowar atta
1/2 cup Sour curd
1/2 cup Water
Salt
1/2 tsp Baking soda
Oil/ butter/ ghee for cooking

for pumpkin chutney - In a pan take 2 tsp oil, into that add 1 tsp Jeera, 2-3 cloves of garlic, 1.5 tbs chana dal, 3-4 Dry red chillies, 6-7 black peppercorns.

Saute everything till you get nice golden color on chana dall.

Then add 1.5 tbs Tamarind pulp, 200 gm chopped pumpkin (remove the skin and chop pumpkin into small dice), a few curry leaves and salt.

Cover with a lead and let it cook till pumpkin becomes tender.

Once it cools down, blend it in a mixture jar, add few spoons of water and blend it smooth.

For tampering (Tadka), take 1 tbs oil. Once it’s heated, add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1.5 urad dal, 1/2 tsp asafoetida and a few curry leaves.

Pour the tadka over chutney.

Jowar Set Dosa - - In a blender jar, add 1/2 cup semolina, 1.5 cup Jowar ka atta, 1/2 cup sour curd and 1/2 cup water.

Blend everything till you get smooth batter.

Water quantity may differ according to the flour.

Blend it into smooth batter.

Now remove the batter into a bowl, add salt per taste and add 1/2 tsp baking soda.

Mix everything well and leave the batter aside for 15 minutes.

Now heat the pan on medium flame, grease it with oil and pour ladder-full of batter on tawa (Tip : Do not spread too thin).

Let this dosa cook on medium flame only, in a minute you will see lots of bubbles on the top; at that time drizzle some oil/butter/ghee.

When the surface becomes dry, flip on the other and cook for couple of minutes.
