Moong dal idli offers a protein-rich twist to the traditional idli. Prepared by blending soaked moong dal with green chilies and ginger, the batter is then mixed with suji and veggies like carrots and coriander. After steaming, these idlis turn out soft, fluffy, and incredibly nutritious. Enjoy them as a wholesome breakfast or snack, served hot with tangy tomato chutney for a delightful flavor combination.

Soak 1 cup of Moong Dal in water for 2 hours. |

In a mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup of Suji with 1/4 cup of Dahi and mix well. |

In a blender, blend the soaked Moong Dal with 2 chopped Green Chillies, 1 chopped small Ginger Knob, and a little water until it forms a thick batter. |

Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl and add the soaked Suji, salt to taste, and finely chopped veggies (such as carrot and coriander). Mix well. |

Grease Idli mould with Oil and preheat the steamer. |

Just before steaming, add 1 tsp of Fruit Salt (Eno) to the batter and mix gently. |

Fill the Idli mould with the batter and steam for 15-20 minutes on medium heat. |
