Stuffed Matar Naan is a delicious and flavorful Indian bread that incorporates spiced green peas (matar) filling. This delightful variation of traditional naan bread adds a burst of taste and texture, making it a perfect accompaniment to your favorite curries or enjoyed on its own.

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour (a mix of plain flour & wheat flour). |

Add 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 2 tsp oil, and 1/2 cup curd to the flour. |

Gradually add a little water and knead the mixture into a soft dough. |

Apply a layer of oil on the dough. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest. |

Coarsely grind 1.5 cups of green peas in a mixer jar. |

In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil, add 1 tsp cumin seeds, a pinch of asafoetida, 1 spoon crushed ginger, garlic & green chillies. |

Incorporate 1 finely chopped onion, salt to taste, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, red chilli powder (as per taste), and garam masala (as per taste). |

Fry the masala well and add the crushed green peas. |

Mix everything and cook for 5 minutes. |

Turn off the heat, drizzle some lemon juice, and add coriander leaves. |

Let the mixture cool down. |

Take a small dough ball, flatten it, and add the cooled matar stuffing in the middle. |

Cover the stuffing with the sides of the dough, gently flatten it with hands. |

Sprinkle some onion seeds and coriander leaves on the flattened naan. |

Apply a little water on the flat side of the naan. |

Place the watered side down in a pan and gently spread the naan. |

Cook it on slow to medium flame until it puffs up. |

Flip the pan and let the other side of the naan roast on direct flame. |

Once done, take the naan out of the pan and apply butter. |

Take approximately 100 gm of tamarind pulp (diluted with water). |

Add chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, jaggery, and salt to taste. |
