Ingredients

1 Cup Whole Moong (soaked in water for 5-6 hours)
1/4 Cup Finger Millet Flour (Ragi Atta)
1/4 Cup Sorghum Flour (Jowar Atta)
1/4 Cup Wheat Flour (Gehu Atta)
Chopped Ginger, Garlic & Green Chillies
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Salt as per taste
2 spoon Water
Finely chopped Coriander Leaves
Finely chopped Onion
1 Tsp White Sesame Seeds (Safed Til)
1 Tsp Coriander Powder (Dhaniya Powder)
1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
1 Tbsp Oil + more Oil (for roasting)

Moong Millet Thalipith is a traditional Maharashtrian flatbread made from a combination of moong dal (split green gram), millet flour, and spices. It is a nutritious and gluten-free dish packed with protein, fiber, and essential nutrients.

It is often served with yogurt, pickle, or chutney and makes for a wholesome and satisfying meal.

Steps

Blend soaked Moong, Ginger, Garlic, Green Chillies, and Cumin Seeds in a mixer with a little Water until coarse.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add Salt, Coriander Leaves, Onion, White Sesame Seeds, Coriander Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder.

Mix in Finger Millet Flour, Sorghum Flour, and Wheat Flour to form a dough.

Add Oil and knead well.

Divide the dough into portions, flatten them on a damp cloth, and make small holes in each.

Heat a pan, brush with Oil, then transfer the flattened dough onto it.

Remove the cloth and cook until golden brown on both sides, drizzling Oil around.

Serve hot with Curd and Pickle.
