Cherry Shrikhand is a popular Indian dessert made by mixing strained yogurt (hung curd) with sugar and flavorings. Fresh or canned cherries are added to enhance the taste, giving it a fruity, tangy flavor. The dish is flavored with cardamom and saffron, offering a rich, aromatic touch. It is chilled for a few hours to allow the flavors to meld together. Served as a refreshing dessert, Cherry Shrikhand is often garnished with chopped cherries and nuts for added texture.

Steps

1
Done

Take 150-200g of hung curd (thick yogurt strained overnight in a muslin cloth to drain excess water) in a mixing bowl.

2

Add a pinch of cardamom (elaichi) powder, 80g powdered sugar (adjust to taste), and finely chopped Chile cherries. Mix gently until well combined. Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes to chill and set the flavors.
