Aam ka Chunda is a sweet and tangy Gujarati mango pickle made from grated raw mangoes and sugar. It’s flavored with spices like cumin, mustard seeds, and chili powder, along with a hint of salt. Aam ka Chunda is typically enjoyed as a condiment with Indian breads like roti, paratha, or as a side dish with rice and dal. It adds a burst of flavor to any meal with its delightful balance of sweet, sour, and spicy notes.

In a mixing bowl, combine 500 gm shredded raw mango, 600 gm sugar, and 1 tsp salt. Mix well and leave for 15 minutes until the sugar melts. |

Heat a pan, pour the mango and sugar mixture, and cook it on medium heat for approximately 25 minutes. |

Continue cooking until the sugar syrup thickens and reaches one-string consistency. |

Once cooled, add 2 tsp red chili powder and 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera). Mix everything well. |

Store it in an airtight container and enjoy Keri No Chundo for up to 1 year. |
