Baked rice with white sauce is a creamy and delicious dish that combines cooked rice with a flavorful white sauce and often includes additional ingredients like vegetables, and cheese.

This baked rice with white sauce is a comforting and versatile dish that you can customize to your liking. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables, proteins, or seasonings to make it your own.

eat 1.5 tablespoons of oil in a pan.
Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and 1.5 teaspoons of garam masala. Fry well.
Add finely chopped onion and garlic cloves.
Season with salt and add 3 tomato puree and red chili powder to taste.
Let the mixture cook until the tomatoes are well cooked.
Add 1/4 cup each of finely chopped French beans, carrot, colored bell pepper, and boiled sweetcorn.
If the mixture is too thick, add a little water. Partially cook the veggies.

Add 2 cups of cooked rice and mix well.
Finally, add chopped coriander and set it aside.
In another pan, heat 2 tablespoons of butter.
Add 2 tablespoons of plain flour (maida) and fry until it turns slightly golden-brown.
Gradually add 1.5 cups of milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Cook on low to medium heat.
Season with salt and crushed black pepper.
Continue cooking until the sauce thickens, then turn off the heat.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Take a baking tray and add a layer of the prepared rice mixture.
Pour the white sauce evenly over the rice.
Sprinkle grated cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
Finish with a sprinkle of chopped coriander.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-22 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the dish is heated through.
