1 cup Kala Chana (Black Chickpeas) (soaked and pressure-cooked with salt)
2 medium Sweet Potatoes (boiled, peeled, and cubed)
1/2 cup Peanuts
1/2 cup cubed Paneer (optional, for extra protein)
4 tsp Oil (divided for roasting potatoes and peanuts)
1/4 cup Tamarind Pulp For the Sweet & Spicy Imli Dressing
1/4 cup Water
1 tbsp Jaggery
1/4 cup Finely chopped Onion
1 tsp Roasted cumin powder
1 tsp Chili flakes
to taste Black Salt For the Sweet & Spicy Imli Dressing
some Finely chopped tomatoes
some Finely chopped cabbage
some Finely chopped carrots
some Finely chopped cucumber
some Fresh coriander leaves herbs
some Fresh mint leaves herbs
some Pomegranate pearls garnish
to taste Finely chopped green chillies
some Coriander powder Dry Masalas for sauteing
some Kashmiri red chilli powder for sauteing
to taste Salt for sauteing

Kala Chana Sweet Potato Salad with Imli Dressing is a nutritious and flavorful salad that combines the earthy taste of black chickpeas with the natural sweetness of roasted sweet potatoes. Boil 1 cup soaked Kala Chana, into the pressure cooker. While boiling add some salt.

Take 2 boiled sweet potatoes, peel and cut into small cubes.

In a pan, take 2 tsp oil, into that add these sweet potatoes. And sauce with basic masalas like salt, coriander powder, Kashmiri Red Chili powder.

Saute till the edges of sweet potato become crispy. Remove and keep aside.

Next in the pan, take 2 tsp oil, into that add 1/2 cup peanuts. Saute peanuts with basic masala like salt, coriander powder, Kashmiri Red Chili powder till it becomes crispy. Keep aside.

Now in a mixing bowl, take boiled chana, prepared sweet potatoes, peanuts and finely chopped veggies like tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, onion, coriander leaves, mint leaves, finely chopped green chillies per taste, some pomegranate.

At last add some paneer (optional) and mix everything gently.
