Ingredients

1 Cup Chilka Moong Dal (alternatively whole moong can be used)
1/4 Cup Rice
1 bunch blanched Spinach
Green Chillies (as per taste)
1 small Ginger Knob
Coriander Leaves
Water (as required)
Salt as per taste
1 small packet of Fruit Salt (Eno) Per thali (total 2 tsp For entire quantity of batter)
Red Chilli Powder
1 Tbsp Oil For Tadka
Mustard Seeds
White Sesame Seeds
Pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing)
Curry Leaves
Chopped Coriander
Grated Coconut

Moong dal and palak dhokla is a nutritious and flavorful Indian snack made from a batter of moong dal (split green gram) and spinach (palak). Moong dal and palak dhokla is a popular dish, often served with green chutney or sweet chutney as a healthy and satisfying snack or breakfast option.

Blend 1 cup chilka moong dal, 1/4 cup soaked rice, blanched spinach, green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, and a little water to a smooth batter.

Add salt, fruit salt (Eno), and transfer the batter to a greased plate.

Sprinkle red chili powder, steam for 20 min in a preheated steamer.

For tadka, heat 2 tbsp oil, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, and safed til.

Cut dhokla into squares, pour tadka, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut. Enjoy your scrumptious moong dal and palak dhokla with chutney!
