Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the Makhana (fox nuts) and dry roast them until they become crispy and light brown. This should take about 3-4 minutes. Stir continuously to prevent burning. Once done, let them cool. |

Chop the apple into small pieces. Drain and rinse the soaked almonds, walnuts, and dates. |

In a mixer jar, add the roasted Makhana and grind them into a fine powder. |

To the ground Makhana powder in the mixer jar, add the chopped apple, soaked almonds, soaked walnuts, soaked dates, and cocoa powder (if using). |

Pour in 1/4 to 1/2 cup of milk, depending on how thick or thin you want the smoothie. |
